Carol Wetherell. Indiana Deaf-Blind Services Project. Carol Wetherell: Well, I think the whole purpose of the Transition Institute is to leave with that Action Plan, that road map: What happens next? Where do we go next? What do we need to do? Um. And to really stop and think and have meaningful and purposeful conversations about what it looks like. So, while we do a lot of different things, in the end, the result is let's talk about what that looks like. Let's put it down on paper so we can come back, and we can look at it. And, are we on course? Does -- has our course changed, do we need to change where we're going? Um. If not, you know, what other resources do we need? And I think being able to leave here with with that, you know, and knowing that OK it might change, but we have a direction, we have--we know where we're trying to get to. And those might be conversations that parents haven't really sat down in a way to really formalize and outline where it is we need to go. And to be, to have that conversation facilitated by project people. And it's so important because young adults need--as in everybody--where am I going, what do I need to do? And it's it's never too late to start thinking about that, but what you don't want to do is come back and say, 'Oh, I wish I would have known.' And so hopefully the information that our parents and young adults can take away is--I know where I want to go and now I know the steps to get there. And that's what my action plan is all about. And uh there might be bumps in the road, but at least I know what looks to be my destination. And so that's our hope that they can walk away with something that's very realistic and workable.
